Terms of Service
These terms set out the rules for using The Magi Wand, a community for designers. Please read them with our Privacy Policy.
Version draft-2026-10-12 · Last updated 12 October 2026
Draft for legal review. This document has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel and is not yet in effect. Items in [square brackets] are details the operator has not yet confirmed.
1. Who these terms are with
The Magi Wand is operated by [legal name of the operator — to be confirmed] ([legal form of the operator — to be confirmed]), “we” or “us”. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law to create an account.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password and sign-in methods secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect misuse.
- You are responsible for activity under your account unless it results from our failure.
- One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone.
4. Community conduct
Be respectful and constructive. You must not:
- harass, threaten, discriminate against or abuse others;
- post or share unlawful, deceptive, hateful or sexually explicit material;
- infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy;
- attempt to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to use, or disrupt the service;
- scrape member data or use it for unsolicited marketing.
5. Roles, applications and participation
Every member starts as a Community Member. You may apply for other community roles, which are reviewed by people. Applying does not guarantee approval, and a role can be changed or ended if its requirements are not met or these terms are breached. Roles are separate from administrative permissions, which are granted only by the operator.
6. No guarantees of outcomes
Membership, roles, events, projects and opportunities do not guarantee employment, paid work, certificates, rewards, recognition or any other benefit, unless a specific benefit is offered in writing under separate published terms. Features described on the site as “opening soon” are not available yet.
7. Your content and your work
The site does not currently accept uploads or public posts. If that changes, the following will apply, and we will tell you before you can submit content:
- You keep ownership of your designs and other content.
- You give us a non-exclusive licence to host and display content you choose to submit, only to run the community features you used, and only for as long as it stays on the service.
- We will not use your work in promotion, such as social media or marketing material, without separate permission from you for that use.
- You confirm you have the rights to anything you submit and that it does not breach these terms.
8. Intellectual property and complaints
The Magi Wand name, logo and site design belong to the operator or its licensors and may not be used without permission. If you believe content on the site infringes your rights or breaks the law, write to [privacy and grievance email — to be confirmed] with your contact details, the location of the content, what right is affected and why. We will review it and respond within [response time — to be confirmed].
9. Moderation, suspension and ending your account
We may remove content, limit features, suspend or end accounts that breach these terms, harm others, or put the service at risk. Where practical we will explain why and give you a way to respond. You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). Sections that by nature should continue, such as those on intellectual property, liability and governing law, continue after your account ends.
10. Events, projects and partners
Events, projects and partner activities may be organised by us or by others. Separate rules for an activity may apply and will be shown with it. We do not control third parties and are not responsible for their conduct beyond what the law requires.
11. The service
We are building the platform in stages. Features may change, be paused or be withdrawn, and the service may be unavailable from time to time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.
12. Your data
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is” to the extent the law permits. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your rights under applicable consumer and data-protection law.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a problem informally. Courts at [city/state whose courts have jurisdiction — to be confirmed] have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have to bring a claim elsewhere.
15. Contact and complaints
[general contact email — to be confirmed]. Complaints: [name or role of the person who handles complaints — to be confirmed], [privacy and grievance email — to be confirmed].
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date and version above will change, and for material changes we will give notice through the site or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
